Dark Scarlet Merino Melton Waistcoat
 
A serious and senere darker scarlet in a sumptuously soft pure merino wool flannel by AW Hainsworth. A warmer weight textile, this fabric has a magnificent handle and a bright rich colouring. 
 
This outer is available to order in our Tailored and Classic Cuts in sizes 36" to 54", with any of our collar types.
 
Our Merino Melton waistcoats are lined in ticking as standard. Alternatively, we would suggest contrasting Fawn Viscose lining or go town with a sumptuous silk. You are free to choose from our full range of linings which you can see in the Linings pop up box above. If you are selecting an alternative to the linings we have put forward, please advise us of your choice in the comments at checkout.
 
A viscose lining will add £10 to the listed price, a silk lining will add £30.
 
Outside we suggest a Dark Cornu button for this outer, as shown in the pictures.
 
Customising your Waistcoat
 
Our lining and button recommendations are set out in the menu, but you are of course free to select alternatives. Custom sizing, button and lining choices should be added when you reach the cart.
 
Should any additional charges arise from size and length alterations we will advise you of these and wait for your agreement before commencing your order.

The Maker
 
This outer has been woven carefully in Yorkshire by the wonderful AW Hainsworth who have been busy weaving cloth since 1783. Best known (perhaps) for clothing royalty and dressing the military for full-dress ceremonial occasions, their cloth has embellished and enriched the furnishings of palaces across the world for centuries.
