38" Nehru-Style Loose Cut Gilet in Light Blue Linen

A Classic Cut Waistcoat in a wonderfully mid-weight pure linen fabric in size 38".

The colour is a subtle blue - duller than sky and cleaner than (most sea). It is also incredibly smart and easy to wear. The fabric itself is relaxed and slightly slubby, making for a wonderfully informal and yet smart waistcoat.

The waistcoat has a Mandarin Collar, Navy Corozo Buttons and a Cotton Ticking Lining.

Cut & Usage

A superb alternative to a jacket in spring and summer with a neat cut and ample pocket space.

This classic cut waistcoat has a relaxed fit, with a five buttoned-front and side vents for ease when moving and sitting. Fully lined, it has  generous inside facings to avoid unsightly lining slippage.

At the chest a welted outbreast pocket sits at a gentle angle to the armhole. Two generously deep pockets sit squarely at the hip. Inside our waistcoats, an inbreast pocket rests on the right-hand side and a credit card sized pocket at elbow height on the left.

Baird McNutt wove this Irish Linen. The Baird McNutt Studio, where our Irish linen collections are designed, lies on the picturesque north west Irish coast of Donegal, overlooking Sheephaven Bay on the Atlantic Ocean.
