40" – Relaxed Fit Nehru Style Gilet in Plain Russet Lovat Tweed

A Classic Cut waistcoat in a wonderful warm-weight tweed in size 40". This is an elegant, deep russet-coloured British Wool tweed. An incredibly warm and well-made tweed in a stunning, unusual and very wearable autumnal colour.

This waistcoat is lined in Striped Cotton Ticking and has a Mandarin Collar and Brown Corozo Buttons.

Cut & Usage

A superb alternative to a jacket or jumper in winter with a comfortable cut and ample pocket space. Warm and easy to wear, it will work as well inside as outside.

This relaxed cut has a five button-front and side vents for ease when moving and sitting. Fully lined, it has generous inside facings to avoid unsightly lining slippage.

At the chest a welted outbreast pocket sits at a gentle angle to the armhole. Two generously deep pockets sit squarely at the hip. Inside our waistcoats, an inbreast pocket rests on the right-hand side and a credit card sized pocket at elbow height on the left. 

The Maker

Woven with care in the home of tweed by Lovat. Lovat Mill sits on the bank of the river Teviot in Hawick just a few metres away from the origins of tweed itself – so we could hardly offer tweed without them!
