Relaxed Fit Nehru-Style Gilet in Camel Check Lovat Tweed

A Classic Cut waistcoat in a wonderful warm-weight tweed from Lovat Mill. A wonderful cross pattern of dark burgundy and a bluey-green or greeny-blue over a dark camel back drop.

This outer is available to order in sizes 36" to 54", with any of our collar types.

Cut & Usage

A  wonderfully warm and smart alternative to a jacket for autumn winter with a neat cut and ample pocket space.

This loose fit waistcoat has five button-fronts and side vents for ease when moving and sitting. Fully lined, it has generous inside facings to avoid unsightly lining slippage.

At the chest a welted outbreast pocket sits at a gentle angle to the armhole. Two generously deep pockets sit squarely at the hip. Inside our waistcoats, an inbreast pocket rests on the right-hand side and a credit card sized pocket at elbow height on the left.

Customising your Waistcoat

The waistcoat is offered with Brown Corozo Buttons and lined in Cotton Ticking. Should you prefer alternatives, you are free to choose them from our house selection. For alternative linings we would suggest Viscose in 'Fawn', or, should you want to pump things up a notch, silk in Cobble. 

Ticking lends additional structure to the outer, viscose a smoother glide inside and silk a note of soft luxury. A viscose lining will add £10 to the listed price, a silk lining will add £30.

Custom sizing, button and lining choices should be sent to us via email at the time of placing your order.

Should any additional charges arise from size and length alterations we will advise you of these and wait for your agreement before commencing your order.

The Maker

Woven with care in the home of tweed by Lovat. Lovat Mill sits on the bank of the river Teviot in Hawick just a few metres away from the origins of tweed itself – so we could hardly offer tweed without them!

Made to Order waistcoats are delivered within three weeks of ordering. We use a sign for Next Day Service with Tracking. Shipping is free on orders over £400.
