A Classic Cut Waistcoat in a wonderfully weighty pure linen in a superb deep indigo-navy colour. The fabric itself is heavy with a distinctive weave and holds itself superbly. It will transition well across seasons and its colour will take you everywhere.

Cut & Usage

A superb alternative to a jacket with a neat cut and ample pocket space. Smart enough to go out in and relaxed enough for the every-day.

This Classic Cut waistcoat has a relaxed fit. It has five buttons down the front and side vents for ease when moving and sitting. Fully lined, it has generous inside facings to avoid unsightly lining slippage.

At the chest a welted outbreast pocket sits at a gentle angle to the armhole. Two generously deep pockets sit squarely at the hip. Inside our waistcoats, an inbreast pocket rests on the right-hand side and a credit card sized pocket at elbow height on the left. 

The Maker

Baird McNutt wove this Irish Linen. The Baird McNutt Studio, where our Irish linen collections are designed, lies on the picturesque north west Irish coast of Donegal, overlooking Sheephaven Bay on the Atlantic Ocean. 

Lining

We line this waistcoat in Cotton Ticking which lends additional structure to the outer.

If you prefer a Viscose or Silk, you can select these options in the menu below. A Viscose lining will add £10 to the listed price, a Silk lining will add £30.

You are free to select your preferred coloured Viscose or Silk from our linings page. Please make your choice of lining fabric in the menu below and advise us at the time of ordering of your preferred colour.

Outside we suggest a Blue Corozo button. If you prefer a different button, please advise us at the time of placing your order.

Should you wish for any additional changes – such a mid-size or a longer or shorter length – please get in touch before placing your order. Should any additional charges arise from the alterations, we will advise you of these and wait for your agreement before commencing your order.
