Slim Fit Nehru-Style Gilet in Pure Merino Flannel

A Tailored Cut waistcoat in a sumptuously soft flannel that is worth every penny. It will take you across the world and from morning till night, encouraging everyone to stroke (and perhaps even hug) you along the way. A darker brown and rich tan cross pattern overlays a dusky camel background, creating a stunning and bold check that will hold its own anywhere.

This outer is available to order in sizes 36" to 54", with any of our collar types.

Cut & Usage

A superbly smart to a jacket or jumper in winter with a very distinctive, elegant pattern. Comfortably cut, with ample pocket space this waistcoat is warm and easy to wear.

This relaxed cut has a five button-front and side vents for ease when moving and sitting. Fully lined, it has generous inside facings to avoid unsightly lining slippage.

At the chest a welted outbreast pocket sits at a gentle angle to the armhole. Two generously deep pockets sit squarely at the hip. Inside our waistcoats, an inbreast pocket rests on the right-hand side and a credit card sized pocket at elbow height on the left. 

Customising your Waistcoat

Our Brown Corozo button and Fawn Viscose lining are the standard offerings for this outer, but you are free to choose from our full range of buttons and linings which you can see on the Linings page. If you would like to upgrade to a silk lining, we suggest EdNerat's silk in Cobble – as shown in the photographs. If you are selecting an alternative to the linings we have put forward, please advise us of your choice by email at the point of ordeirng.

A silk lining will add £30 to your order.

Custom sizing and button choices should be sent to us by email when you place your order.

Should any additional charges arise from size or length alterations we will advise you of these and wait for your agreement before commencing your order.

This outer has been woven carefully in Wellington by the magnificent Fox Brothers, inventors of Flannel. Fox  have been weaving cloth for over 200 years and really know their stuff.

Made to Order waistcoats are delivered within three weeks of ordering. We use a sign for Next Day Service with Tracking. Shipping is free on orders over £400.
